Yesterday April took me up to Hatcher's Pass to hike Angel's Bowl--and what a hike it was! I selected pictures to post that I felt would give you an idea of how high up we had to hike, and how far down we had to come! Pictures never do justice to the experience, though.
Before it was over yesterday, I was wet with sweat, I'd had an all-out war with bugs, and I had fallen over a rock, scraping my leg bloody, cutting down to what I call "the meat." Ouch--and yuck! Having tripped, had not my hands caught me, what was waiting for me was a long trip down the other side of the rock! And that was all in an attempt to capture the moment by photo--so I hope you appreciate these pictures! Isn't it crazy that it's July, I was sweating throughout the climb, but when I got back down to level ground, I was taking pictures in the snow?! That's Alaska for you. You betcha! I just had to play in the snow, squeezing it through my fingers, rolling it into a ball, and finally just getting down in it, happily declaring, "Alaska snow!"
Because I'm steadily blogging as much as I can, when you're done with this post, be sure to scroll down in case there's something else you've missed here at Motivation: Truth. As you know, my sole motivation is to provide truth for you--whether in serious commentary or enjoyable pictures. So glad to share so much with you.
Still enjoying Alaska, folks! I have to tell you: I do NOT want to go back to New York--well, maybe long enough to pack my bags, grab my car and motorcycle, and say "goodbye" to my family and friends.
Here are the pics...
