Audio of My Poem Recitation: One Touch
Friday, December 11, 2009
I have a desire to share some of my experiences with Motivation: Truth readers. I plan to do just that, a little at a time.
One of the things you probably don't know about me is that I'm a poet. I both write and recite poetry. This audio that I have embedded is a poem I wrote for my church's 10th Anniversary several months ago. We, Rock Solid Church, re-enacted Nicole C. Mullen's One Touch music video, with some variations. It was powerful! I wish I had video of Rock Solid Church's rendition, rather than the Mullen video, but we never put it on Youtube. When you watch the video, note that I played the old lady, but we gave her a bigger role. Yep, I had a gray wig, cane, and a case of the shakes--the whole nine!
I wrote the poem as an introduction to the drama. It was pre-recorded and was played immediately before the drama began. It was totally God-inspired and encapsulates the message of One Touch.
By the way, it's completely non-partisan. Some things ought to leap across the aisle!
Listen first to my recitation of the poem. Then watch Nicole C. Mullen's music video--and remember, it only takes one touch...
Enjoy!
(Thanks, Ray, for help with this audio/video - SarahNET)
