Pictures of Me Ringing in the New Year

I rang in the new year at my friend Kia's house with some friends and family. Our get-together was a blast. It included food, games, karaoke, and laughing till our sides hurt. Those of you who only know me through Motivation: Truth have no idea how silly I am, but the people in the pictures below could tell you stories! My mother tells me often that I've always been silly, and I have a feeling I always will be. It helps keep me young. I love to laugh as much as I love to be serious. I guess I'm an even mix of both, although most people have only seen one side or the other. Only the truly lucky ones gets to see both--like my students and my closest friends!

We went from silly to serious as we gathered ourselves to enter 2010 with some worship music, an encouraging Word from the Bible, and prayer.

We slowed things down before midnight to bring in 2010 in song and prayer.

Kia shared an encouraging word about the importance of prayer in 2010.

We lifted our paper cups holding sparkling apple cider to toast the new year.
