The Left, in typical Palin Derangement Syndrome style, get all hot and bothered over comments Governor Palin makes. Needless to say, the speech at Stanislaus is no exception. Of course, they were looking for issues from the start, with people whining about the fact that she was coming to their school to make them some much-needed money.
So Governor Palin, with a slip of the tongue, says Eureka College is in California, and the Lefty Loons get all "wee-weed up," to steal a phrase from their Messiah, as if they finally have something to pin on her. So let's set the record straight.
As usual, they have nothing on her. Obviously, Governor Palin knows where Eureka College is, for she referred to it when she spoke in Washington, Illinois earlier this year. However, the Left would insult your intelligence once again by getting all happy-clappy over something that is nothing at all. Desperate souls, these haters are. Meanwhile, so-called professionals are caught on tape after her speech dissing her like schoolyard tots. And this is acceptable? If this is what things have come to, no wonder Governor Palin cannot stomach politics-as-usual.
Here's a newsflash for those who are loathe to exercise common sense: the Governor is a human being who experienced a slip of the tongue. Nothing more. Big deal. I know this is a grand disappointment to the haters who are foaming at the mouth for more drama in this regard. Sorry, no drama.
Now, there are indeed those who will never make such a mistake as they stand before a crowd to raise thousands of dollars for the cause of education. That's because they never will, for instead, they but stand on the sidelines and watch others do the tough stuff. They won't misspeak because they don't have what it takes to speak up in the first place. These are people who stay on the shore. Sure, they never have to worry about getting wet, but neither will they swim in deep water. Governor Palin is making a major difference in this nation while others behold from a distance and pray she drowns. That's what I call silly prayers by silly people.
When the Governor makes an appearance, she actually talks to the people, makes connections, and doesn't simply rely on a word-for-word speech, also known as a teleprompter. She's insightful, engaging, spontaneous. And personally speaking as a teacher, a preacher, and a public speaker, I can tell you that when one depends on those gifts, rather than a machine to simply spoon-feed you, sometimes you say something you didn't mean to say--not because you don't know what you're talking about, but just because you were talking, connecting, and sharing as a human being, rather than a robot. Bottom line: it happens.
So let's put this nonsense to bed: the haters who are trying to use this to prove Governor Palin is uninformed should do their own research and take note of the fact that yes, she knows where Eureka College is. She already referenced it while in Illinois. If they expect that their exploitation of a slip of the tongue is going to shut her up or take the focus off of restoring common sense to our nation, they need to get a grip and a good smell of reality. They might even consider trying harder not to look so desperate in their crazed obsession to destroy her credibility. Even better, how 'bout they just grow up? If that's not enough to keep them busy and they still have more time on their hands, perhaps they should visit President Obama and remind him that Europe is a continent, not a country.
