Meghan McCain Blames Bristol Palin for Her Low Self-Esteem

Meghan McCain needs to grow up. As I discussed here, her new book with the sleazy title Dirty Sexy Politics devotes time to negative comments about Governor Palin. In summarizing Meghan's delusional perspective, I pointed out the fact that she was obviously an immature trouble-maker, so much so that her father's own campaign staff kicked her to the curb--told her to either leave the campaign or take her own bus. (She opted for the bus.) I suppose we each have embarrassing moments during our childish days, even when we should have known to carry ourselves better. The problem with Meghan is that she is still playing the child, as evidenced by her attack on Bristol Palin on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

Via CNN.com:

But McCain also had a few words to say about Palin's "Dancing With the Stars" daughter, Bristol.

“I was sent to an image consultant," she told Stewart, admitting that she wasn't on her best behavior or acting as she should while on the campaign trail. "But when you’re sent to an image consultant and [it's] said that you look like a stripper and you talk bad and you’re hurting the campaign when there’s a pregnant teen there, it does a little bit to your self esteem.”

So in order to feel better about herself, she points out Bristol's pregnancy? A more mature approach would have been to simply admit she should have put some clothes on, quit acting a fool, and cease embarrassing her father. Yes, Bristol was pregnant on the campaign trail--and she was handling her business. She made the humane decision to bring her child into the world, to put her plans to the side so that she could make a life for the baby growing inside her womb. Meghan, however, still refuses to look within and take personal responsibility for her own actions. Instead, two years later, she handles the issue of her inappropriate behavior by highlighting what she deems to be someone else's. I assume in pointing her finger at Bristol, she is attempting to make herself feel better. After all, she has admitted that her self-esteem took a hit. I'm sorry she felt bad, but it's time to grow up and move on. If she needs some help figuring out how to do so with class, she need not look far: she could learn a thing or two from Bristol's example.

I think that Meghan and Levi should get together both could learn a great deal from the other.

Yep, Meghan's comment on Jon Stewart's show was mean-spirited. She's very jealous of the Palins.

Meghan McCain has no respect for the fact that her father did something that historians will remember for the rest of history.

John might be too humble to realize what he did. But when our country is saved from the socialist menace and we find our way back to our founding principles, people will remember that it was he who introduced us to Sarah Palin and it was his daughter who threw a temper tantrum over that.
