With each passing day, I appreciate freedom more and more. I thank God for this nation, the greatest nation on the face of the earth. Our providential existence stirs deep humility and intense thanksgiving. While we have certainly not done all things right in our 235 years--having made some serious mistakes along the way--we've made incredible strides in these areas. I believe wholeheartedly that God's hands are upon this nation, and we must protect what He has given us. We have been called to be a shining city upon a hill.
As we celebrate Independence Day, it's important to know that true, lasting freedom comes only from a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, so my prayer is that we would each submit our lives to Him and know Him personally. His love for us is unfailing.
May God bless America, but more importantly, may America bless God.
Happy Independence Day, America.
