Governor Palin's Brother Shares Email from Lee Davis

Monday, April 30, 2012

Chuck Heath, Jr., Governor Palin's brother, received an email fron radio talk show host, Lee Davis, after Davis had the opportunity to meet the Governor on Saturday in Birmingham. Chuck shared the email, which resonates with everyone who has ever met his sister:

Hey! I just wanted to tell you more about Sarah’s visit to Birmingham on Saturday.

She was here to speak at the Extraordinary Women’s Conference (a Christian women’s group) and since our station was a sponsor, we got backstage passes to meet her about an hour and a half before she was scheduled to speak.

We were all given autographed copies of Going Rogue before hand. (I already had one, but not autographed of course). We then got in line and walked up one by one, where we had our photo made with her.

It was so cool. When I came up, I said. “Governor Palin, it’s an honor to meet you. I’m Lee Davis!”

Sarah said, “Oh yes, Chuck just texted me to say that you were going to be here! I’m so glad to finally meet you. He and my dad had such a great time at the football game. They still talk about it.”

Chuck, your sister has an amazing way with people, like nothing I’ve ever seen. She is SO genuine and sincere, with nothing phony or fake about her. Here we were, she’d just met me, but she made me feel like we’d been friends for years. As the photographer took our picture, she said “I can hardly wait to tell Chuck and dad that I got to meet you. They’ll be excited.” “I thanked her, shook her hand again and let the next person come up.

Afterward, everyone was talking about how nice and genuine she was, and how she made everyone feel special. Your sister is also even more beautiful when you see her “up close and personal” than on TV or in pictures.

I hope I get the chance to talk to her again some time.

Hope all is well. Let me know when your publisher okays interviews, and I’ll definitely want to have you on the show!

Best regards to everyone!
