SarahPAC: Jane Fonda Portraying First Lady Nancy Reagan?

Thursday, March 29, 2012

SarahPAC sent out the following email today:

Hollywood is at it again, fabricating tall tales and rewriting history. This time the targets will include President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy.

You may remember the co-writer of The Butler, Danny Strong, for his work on Game Change. The new film’s story follows the several Presidents through the White House years from the perspective of butler Eugene Allen. Strong and HBO distorted and demeaned the conservative movement’s fight against politics-as-usual in 2012 by manipulating facts in Game Change—can you imagine how important it will be for them to tarnish the image of conservative icons Ronald and Nancy Reagan?

Just this week we learned that liberal activist Jane Fonda has been cast to portray First Lady Nancy Reagan. Since 2000, Jane Fonda has donated $72,000 to Democrat campaigns and leftist PACs, a sure indicator of the left-wing spin there is to come.

Speaking to students at Duke University in 1970, Fonda once stated, “If everyone knew what it meant, we would all be on our knees praying that we would, as soon as possible, be able to live within a communist structure.”

How could such a woman possibly be expected to do justice to the role of Nancy Reagan? Speaking to CNN last December about the Republican presidential field, Fonda said that “They all scare me frankly. I get depressed and scared when I look at the Republican debates.”

It is clear that Jane Fonda and her radical left-wing sympathizers do not understand the fundamental values that our great nation was founded upon: freedom, hard work, honesty, and independence.

At SarahPAC, we continue to lead the fight to protect these core principles and preserve for our children and grandchildren the values passed down to us by the founding fathers. This work is critical to our nation’s future, and we at SarahPAC are honored by the sacred trust you have placed with us through your donations. Please fight with us against the liberal left and make a donation to SarahPAC today!

Thank you for joining in our fight to preserve the America we know and love!

Sincerely,

Tim Crawford
Treasurer, SarahPAC

P.S. We are facing an urgent reporting deadline on Saturday at midnight, and we need your help to continue supporting conservative candidates across the country. Help us send a message to the liberal left that commonsense conservatism will prevail, and contribute to SarahPAC today!

CNN: If Only Sarah Palin Had Run

CNN, of all outlets, posted a mostly-positive article today about how different things would be if Governor Palin had decided to run for the GOP nomination. I do not agree with all of Timothy Stanley's assessment of the Governor, but he makes some good points:

It didn't have to be this way. If Sarah Palin had entered the contest, I'd hypothesize two alternative realities. One, she'd have the nomination sewn up by now. Two, she'd be running even in the polls with the president.

What have proved to be problems for the top three candidates wouldn't have been problems for Palin. For starters, she has none of Newt Gingrich's intellectual hubris. There's no way Palin would have promised to put a mine on the moon or suggest arresting judges who make decisions that are too liberal. Her conservatism is far more domestic and down-to-Earth.

She's also more disciplined than Santorum.

[...]

Lacking the foibles of Gingrich and Santorum, Palin would have been a far more effective anti-Romney candidate because her strengths accentuated Romney's weaknesses. Romney is known as the Etch A Sketch candidate; Palin is aggressively authentic. Romney is seen by many as a moneyed elitist; Palin is the conservative class warrior, happy to slam the "crony capitalism" that benefits both big labor and big business. Romney's limitations have been revealed, one by one, in the course of the primary campaign; Palin was well-vetted by the press in 2008 and has nothing left to say or do that would surprise us.

Love her or loathe her, we all know who Palin is. Her weaknesses, being old news, wouldn't have dominated the primary narrative like Bain Capital or Seamus the dog, made famous by his terrifying ride atop Romney's car. Palin would have spent the past three months attacking her opponents. Then she would have turned her guns on the president.

[...]

The Republicans desperately need a candidate who can appeal to lower-income voters, who can rally men, who can gain women's votes, who can bring out conservatives in large numbers and who can appeal to a younger demographic. All these things happened in the 2010 midterms, when the GOP made inroads into blue-collar households and middle-class suburbs on a policy platform virtually embodied by the Alaskan maverick.

The GOP needs a Tea Party candidate -- either Sarah Palin or someone very like her. Alas, it's going to have to wait until 2016 to get its rogue.

Governor Palin: As Goes Wisconsin, so Goes America; Support Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch

Governor Palin via SarahPAC and Facebook:

I look at the far Left’s assault on Wisconsin and I say, “Are you kidding?” As an outsider (albeit an admitted Green Bay fan with family roots in Chippewa Falls), I join millions of Americans watching the political shenanigans in Wisconsin. I am torn between just chuckling at these radical liberal yahoos trying to oust an intelligent administration that is fulfilling its promises, or raising a fist in disgust at people sitting on their thumbs while Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch get thrown to the wolves.

Wisconsin, you deserve better than this!

You’re the “Forward” state – part of the breadbasket that feeds America. Deep woods, pristine waters, esteemed academic institutions, and shining cities reside alongside the dairy farms dotting your picturesque landscape carved out by generations of hard working Americans. In their honor, and to assist the other 49 states, please continue to go forward; don’t let 80 million political dollars – from outside special interests – convince you to go backward towards debt, high taxes, unemployment, and shuttered industry.

You don’t have to let those millions of outside dollars flooding your state destroy the records and reputations of your Governor and Lt. Governor, nor should the political dollars dictate your state’s destiny. You have a choice: Retreat, or fight for the positive reform you elected in 2010.

Governor Walker has left the far Left unhinged, so he’s had to amass a war chest to fend off the lies and dirty dealings in the capitol; and, thankfully, it’s predicted he’ll survive his recall.

But the recall fight that is just as important is Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch’s. Please click this link to help her.

She’s being thrown beyond the wolf pack – she’s also under the GOP establishment’s bus because this Tea Party “Mama Grizzly” beat the establishment candidate when she got elected. (And dang, it’s uncomfortable under that chassis!) Rebecca must be thinking, “With friends like these, who needs enemies?” Worse than seeing radical Leftists attack and make things up about a Conservative female opponent is when supporters on the Right sit on their thumbs and act as if there’s nothing they can do to help. Come on! When all else fails you can at least tell the truth! Tell other voters why you supported Rebecca in the first place. Explain her campaign promises and how she has stuck to them and – surprising in today’s political world – is actually fulfilling them. She promised to help balance the budget, cut taxes, build a sound fiscal environment, and provide job opportunities for all Wisconsin residents – not only our union brothers and sisters. She’s setting an example for every other state in the union because responsible state and local governments will be the entities that defend our Republic at a time when there is less and less reason to believe our big centralized federal government will address its self-perpetuated economic problems.

The far Left has targeted Lt. Governor Kleefisch in particular because they know she’s been busy working and hasn’t raised anywhere near the money Governor Walker has to weather his recall. And get this: they are hoping to keep her off the same ballot as Governor Walker, and instead they would love to put her on a ballot during a Democratic primary in order to give her the worst voter turn out possible. It’s vicious. She’s in the fight of her political life for doing nothing more than what she and Governor Walker were elected to do. If Wisconsin sees either of these two go down in defeat, it will have a chilling effect on any public servant having the guts to do what’s right.

This country’s future won’t shine exceptionally as that “City on a Hill” if we cower, refusing to stand up to the radical Left’s intimidation tactics. Their drive towards more government control with selfish demands to incur more debt and halt efforts to rein in unsustainable spending is seen clearly in Wisconsin. One thing for which grassroots independents, conservatives, and blue dog Democrats should be counted on is to take a stand and rush in to help people secure our future by helping those like Rebecca Kleefisch when they need it the most. Now is one of those times.

Michelle Malkin points out that President Obama knows Wisconsin is ground zero in the Left’s battle against limited government. And, as Michelle writes: “If they can chill fiscal responsibility and free market-based reforms in Wisconsin, they can chill it everywhere.” Concerned Americans, don’t let them snuff out this Mama Grizzly’s successful efforts to fight for what is right.

Grand Old Badger State: you are America’s blessed 30th state. Your natural and human resources abound. Even your state motto promises a vision of “Forward.” So, as the eyes of America focus on you, raise your voice in support of your state’s good destiny!

“On, Wisconsin! Champion of the right,

'Forward', our motto – God will give thee might!”

Governor Palin Discusses Trayvon Martin Tragedy

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Todd Starnes reports Governor Palin's comments about the tragic Trayvon Martin tragedy:

“It’s not going to do anybody any good to ratchet up the rhetoric based on speculation,” Palin told Fox News. She shared her observations just hours after Democratic Rep. Bobby Rush was asked to leave the House floor after donning a hooded sweatshirt to protest Martin’s death.

[...]

“What concerns me – the facts still aren’t out there,” Palin said. “Obviously when we hear about a 17-year-old young man losing his life, it’s tragic. It’s horrible. I am so, so extremely sorry for the family.”

But she was upset at Rush’s display on the House floor calling it “atrocious.”
“Racial profiling has to stop,” said Rush as he removed his suit jacket. “Just because someone is wearing a hoodie, doesn’t make them a hoodlum.”

“It’s quite appalling that Rep. Rush chose to go this route,” she said. “There are other ways to get your message across. It’s really bad precedent that he’s trying to set – violating such tradition and such rules to make a political statement.”

She also called out President Obama – saying he should not have jumped into the growing outrage over the shooting.

“I think it was orchestrated,” Palin said. “I’m going to get clobbered for even suggesting this, but it is what I believe.”

The president addressed the shooting in the Rose Garden.

“My main message is to the parents of Trayvon Martin. You know, if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said. “All of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves.”

“Obviously, this is a tragedy. I can only imagine what these parents are going through,” Obama said. “All of us have to do some soul searching to figure out how something like this has happened.

Palin said she was “very, very surprised out of all the issues that are going on in our country today that the president” would have taken a question about the Martin case.

She said the politicization of the shooting is unfair to Martin’s parents.

“It’s unspeakable the hurt, the sorrow, the loss this family is feeling,” she said. “People who are jumping in there without having all the facts first are making the situation even worse when you consider we are talking about a young man’s life.”

Governor Palin: God, Guns, the Constitution – Still Clinging

Via Facebook, Governor Palin shares:

I found a great book that would be a neat Easter basket addition for grown-up revelers who enjoy reading as much as eating those solid chocolate bunnies and Peeps we’ll thieve from the kids’ baskets on April 8.

Todd Starnes boldly wrote “Dispatches From Bitter America: A Gun Toting, Chicken Eating, Son of a Baptist’s Culture War Stories,” and it couldn’t be more timely. It’s especially relevant because Todd lays out in detail the Obama Administration’s war on religious liberty. In addition to covering the state of the union in general, Todd writes about how the government is turning traditional holidays into politically correct secular celebrations – complete with renaming the White House’s traditional Easter egg hunt to a “Spring Egg” hunt instead.

Much of our nation’s exceptional foundation is rooted in our Judeo-Christian heritage. Many Americans grew up with fond memories of traditional holidays. As we approach the upcoming Easter celebration, we can reflect on this special time of year’s true meaning and the significance the Easter message provides for our country. It’s a message of true hope – real hope – and strong faith. This faith tradition is something many Americans wish to pass on to our children, and there’s nothing “bitter” about this special element of American culture. Understandably, people of faith feel under siege today from the culture, as encroaching attacks on our religious liberties attempt to erode our foundation. Todd sheds light on this and other “fundamental transformation” acts using homespun humor and Twainesque irony.

So, from the White House Christmas tree celebrating a dictator by displaying a Mao Zedong ornament, to intolerant characters bashing the Boy Scouts and burning bibles, many of us are asking, “What’s next?” You can get answers and encouragement all at once by reading Todd’s new book.

Despite President Obama’s claim in San Francisco that working-class Americans “bitterly cling” to guns or religion out of frustration, the truth is we cling to God not because we’re “bitter” but because there’s nothing better. And as for “clinging” to our Second Amendment rights and, in fact, to all of our constitutionally protected liberties…well, you betcha', we do cling to them proudly.

I recommend Todd’s book for Easter – along with lots of chocolate and marshmallows.

Left's Plot to Get Rush, and Hannity, and Palin, and...

Governor Palin tweeted the following:

My, my, my... fb.me/YoWZPbLI

After reading The American Spectator article to which she linked, I retweeted the Governor's tweet and added this:
Sick stuff from the radical Left

Sick indeed.

The Jeffrey Lord article, "The Plot to Get Rush," details plans to destroy conservatives, namely Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Governor Palin. Here's a taste:
It was a set up.

From start to finish.

A quite specific, quite detailed plot to get Rush Limbaugh, ruin his career, and drive him off the air.

Next targets? Sean Hannity and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Lots to cover here.

Let's start with Mr. Angelo Carusone.

Who is Angelo Carusone? Today he is now the "Director of Online Strategy for Media Matters for America."

But a few years back? He was just your basic left-wing law student with a standard left-wing passion. That passion? Totalitarian-style censorship.

Let's stop here for a moment for a brief bit of historical background -- not a detour but a very necessary context.

It is a big mistake -- a really big mistake -- to dismiss what's being done to Rush Limbaugh as just some crazy guys at Media Matters.

When we work our way through what Angelo Carusone and his Media Matters comrades and others are doing when they target Rush, or went after Glenn Beck, or plan to do in targeting Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin and who knows who after that (Levin? Laura?) remember: this is the way the Left -- the global left throughout history, not simply the American Left today -- has always behaved. A fanatical intolerance is part of the leftist DNA.

The late Austrian free-market economist Ludwig von Mises described the leftist method of operation as "fanatical and intolerant." It works, he said, this way:
Socialism… works on the emotions…to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.

Primitive instincts.

And that most primitive of human instincts? You got it.

Fear.

The skillful, clever use of fear (not to mention hate) is the defining trait of leftists throughout history. Fear is the primitive emotion the left feeds on like a junkie needs drugs. It is a trait repeatedly manifested in history by the use of intimidation or bully-boy tactics to assert raw power. It is the vividly identifiable scarlet thread of intolerance that has shown itself in one leftist movement after another on down through the centuries, regardless of nationality.

Leftist French Revolutionaries launched the "Reign of Terror," dragging terrified opponents to the guillotine. The moment Lenin's triumphant Communists overwhelmed Russia, notes The Black Book of Communism, the triumphant left "institutionalized the notion of 'enemy of the people.'" People so identified were to be "arrested immediately," charged with "crimes" like "abuse of one's position" -- essentially the American left's charge right now about Rush Limbaugh. In short order, millions of Soviet citizens in the new order were shot outright when not sent to the Gulag. In the 1930s the newly powerful National Socialists of Germany -- aka the Nazis -- began sending storm troopers to terrify Jews by painting crude yellow signs reading "Not for Aryans" on the windows of Jewish shopkeepers. Eventually, Jews were forced to wear a yellow patch in the shape of the Star of David, bearing a single word Jude -- Jew. In Mao's China, this leftist fanaticism appeared as the "Cultural Revolution," which targeted all manner of dissenters with both psychological intimidation as well as physical violence. One of the favorite weapons of Mao's Red Guards was "Chinese Roulette." The game? A group of dissenters would be rounded up and delivered to a firing squad -- but at the last minute only a random few would be pulled from the group and shot. The rest who had survived were said to have suffered something worse than death: a "bullet" of fear and repression inside the brain.

In America, the leftists beneath the hoods of the Ku Klux Klan lynched terrified blacks at night while running America's Democratic Party by day. No less than future president Ronald Reagan was threatened with having acid tossed in his face if he didn't cease fighting the infiltration of Communists in Hollywood. Today SEIU thugs are captured on video beating up those who dissent on Obamacare, calling their victim the "n--word".

Fear. Intimidation. Bullying. Racism. Hatred of the "other." Without these tactics, the left is naked in the war of ideas. By coincidence, R. Emmett Tyrrell, the founder and editor-in-chief of The American Spectator has a book coming out in May titled The Death of Liberalism.

There could in fact be no better sign of that death than the behavior of the left -- the typical behavior -- as evidenced in this entire episode. The Happy Warrior "politics of joy" of that cheerful liberal's liberal Hubert Humphrey is long, long gone.

So.

You thought the business of getting Rush Limbaugh off the air was because of a bad word choice about Sandra Fluke?

Think again.

The starting date for this latest in a long line of fear-inducing leftists --was, according to Angelo Carusone himself, "late 2009 and early 2010."

Got that?

In other words, a full two-plus years before Sandra Fluke ever appeared on the anti-religious liberty scene, Commissar Carusone (what other title is more fitting for a self-styled free speech monitor?) was hatching the plot to "Stop Rush." In the world of Internet domains, Carusone even had it registered as "Stop Rush.org."

Modeled after Carusone's earlier successful campaign to… yes, indeed… Stop Beck.

Take a gander here at Legal Insurrection, here at the Blaze, and here at the Village Voice to see how Carusone quite candidly goes about his self-appointed task as one of the revolutionary guards in the American Left's Political Police.

How does Carusone's storm trooper game work?

What does Media Matters do?

Remember. Angelo Carusone was going after Glenn Beck several years ago as a free-lancing leftist law student. His activities caught the attention of Media Matters, where Commissar Carusone is now officially ensconced as the group's "Director of Online Strategy."

Let's carefully comb through the record of Mr. Carusone in these various stories -- plus this Carusone interview here at a site called Raw Story. In which, on June 2, 2010, distinctly unknown in the national media at the time, the then-law student describes in detail what he is up to.

And let's add something else into this mix. Commissar Carusone, as noted, is now officially a direct employee of Media Matters. Recently the Daily Caller did a highly illuminating series on Media Matters. A series that revealed an out-of-control leftist machine filled with gazillions of leftist Big Money, headed by a man described as exhibiting "volatile and erratic" behavior who "struggles with mental illness" while parading around with the security entourage worthy "of a Third World dictator."

So let's add 2 plus 2 and see what 4 equals, shall we?

We will carefully list the tactics admitted to by Commissar Carusone himself. And add what the Daily Caller has reported about Media Matters. Remembering that the Commissar now works for Media Matters.

Here we go.

[...]
…Carusone is mounting similar campaigns targeting Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and CNN.

Beck is now off Fox's air.

The Rush campaign is now in progress -- but in spite of all this, in fact precisely because of all this, his audience is sticking -- not to mention getting pretty damn mad.

CNN? What did these poor struggling media mushies do? No idea. But they have somehow offended the sensibilities of Commissar Carusone.

But Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity? They have received their warning.

The Political Police are out there. Commissar Carusone is keeping his lists. The Media Matters secret donors, carefully operating in the shadows, have the bucks to enforce the Commissar.

Is this still America?

Only if we fight back.

It's hard to stomach such a radical agenda, but it's worth reading nonetheless. Go here to read the full piece. This is a battle for the soul of America, and Lord's article further demonstrates what we're up against.

Video Compilation: Governor Palin's Key Accomplishments

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

After wasting my time with some people on Twitter who have no clue how to discern fact from fiction, who still attribute to Governor Palin things that Tina Fey said, and who cite Game Change as a credible source of information, I am especially glad to share this with you.

Ian Lazaran posted the following on C4P this morning:

In case you missed the sixteen-part video series of interviews/press conferences/speeches/news clips from Palin’s time as Governor of Alaska that we posted the other day, consider this the “C4P version” of The Undefeated. Shelly took the time to put together all sixteen clips into a two-and-a-half hour “movie.”

Ron Devito of US4Palin has a master list of Governor Palin's accomplishments on his site, a source that many people turn to when researching the Governor's career. Concerning Shelly's video, he writes:
Ian Lazaran, a Conservatives4Palin editor this morning ran a nearly 2.5 hour video compiled by Shelly Dankert which captures key moments from Gov. Palin’s entire gubernatorial term: speeches, interviews, news items, and press conferences.

This movie will be permanently loaded on the US for Palin Accomplishments page so readers can enjoy this video compilation of Gov. Palin’s key moments in office. Our 2012 Master List is updated nearly daily now, so readers can see the size, scale, scope and frequency of her accomplishments as they unfold.

Let the truth go far and wide. Here's the video:

Governor Palin: The Audacity of Obama’s Intentions Revealed

Monday, March 26, 2012

If this exchange, which Governor Palin discusses in a Facebook note today, doesn't cause you pause about re-electing President Obama, I don't know what it will take to get your attention. He was caught on microphone discussing what he seems to think is a certain re-election, but that audacity is not the issue here; we're already aware of how audacious he is. What's concerning is it appears he's willing to conspire with Russia about missile defense. Is this what we seek in a Commander-in-Chief?

The Governor writes:

Whoever chooses to merely dismiss the significance of today’s exchange between our President and Russia’s President should have their intelligence and patriotism questioned. Let this exchange be a warning to voters: President Obama will have “more flexibility” to weaken us if he’s re-elected in November. He was caught speaking candidly to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev before a “hot mic” today (and surely one must believe he didn’t know the mics were still on; surely he’s not so audacious as to purposefully broadcast his intentions), as reported by ABC’s Jake Tapper. Here’s the exchange:

President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.

President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…

President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.

President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.

Let’s consider what this “flexibility” might mean. We know that he has repeatedly conceded to foreign demands and backed down on missile defense. I pointed this out as Governor of Alaska when he proposed reducing Alaska’s missile defense system capabilities. I explained then that the President’s proposed military cuts would diminish Alaska’s opportunity to defend the union with our strategic location’s defense infrastructure. We also know that in 2009, as part of his “reset” with Russia, President Obama turned his back on our Eastern European allies by abandoning past promises for a missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic.

We can’t know for certain what this newly revealed “flexibility” means, but considering President Obama’s past actions, be sure it won’t involve a position of strength for America and our allies. Russia has been thwarting us on one issue after another, including the rushed-through New START Treaty that many of us questioned after Obama insisted America ratify it first, then allow Russia to sit on it – unratified on their end – until it suited that foreign power’s needs.

Meanwhile, North Korea is planning another long-range missile launch, and the United States and our allies are still vulnerable to the threat of ballistic missiles. Our president has done nothing to alleviate this vulnerability; in fact, he’s done just the opposite. He has consistently taken a position of weakness and naïve trust in Putin’s Russia. Consider that one-sided New START Treaty as an example of this. Or consider those cuts to Alaska’s missile defense system, which leaves us much more vulnerable in the face of a nuclear North Korea. Now consider the state of our national defense under a President who whispers to a foreign power that he needs even “more flexibility” to weaken us further.

Lessons From An Etch A Sketch; Video Update

Sunday, March 25, 2012

America stands at a crucial place in our history. As we look forward to restoring some kind of sanity to our nation, four candidates remain in the fray to take on President Obama, although one would be hard-pressed to find a journalist reporting this as anything other than a two man race at this point. While many have already crowned Mitt Romney the Republican nominee, I am reminded of what Governor Palin told us over two months ago. She said that, contrary to what some would have us believe, the mainstream media and President Obama actually want to face Romney in the general election. Class warfare specialist that he is, the President is salivating at the chance to depict the front-runner as an out-of-touch elite with no ability to relate to the average, everyday, struggling American. Romney, of course, hasn't helped himself, as he has provided gaffes for the left to add to their storehouse of ammunition.

Mitt Romney's achilles heal, Romneycare, became Obamacare, and no one knows that more than President Obama. Romney's chief weakness is certainly not lost on the President, nor will it be dismissed. When--if--the time becomes right, President Obama will use it masterfully. Can Romney endure?

The truth is many people are simply not sure where Romney stands or even if he'll be able to stand. The "Etch A Sketch" comment, by Romney top adviser Eric Fehrnstrom, adds to that concern. "Who is Mitt Romney?" many people wonder--and we have a right to know. When candidates are struggling to secure an overwhelming majority of voter support, indeed we have that right. This is just one reason I agree both with Governor Palin's admonitions to vet each candidate carefully and her support for a long, thorough primary process that will diminish the chance of an "October Surprise."

Now that more and more people are already crowning Romney as the GOP nominee, the Democratic party is wasting no time in exploiting his weaknesses, and Romney gives them some things to work with, making their goal of re-electing President Obama that much more possible, in their assessment. Via The Blaze, check out the video the Democratic National Committee has produced. This is just a taste of what is to come if we allow the GOP establishment, in their zealousness to pick our nominee for us, to prematurely urge this process to a close. It is essential that we look closely for the most principled, consistent conservative who is addressing the most important issues facing America--and in a way that doesn't leave us vulnerable to an Obama second term. I am inclined to believe that, at the end of the day, most of us agree that each candidate is better than the person now occupying the White House. Governor Palin calls that Anybody But Obama.

Nonetheless, we need to be able to trust our nominee, we need a stark contrast to President Obama, and we need to rally around that person at the conclusion of this primary season. President Obama will unleash a no holds barred, full-throttled attack on the opposition, and nothing will be off limits. Who is best able to take him on while simultaneously upholding true conservative principles and garnering the enthusiasm of fellow Republicans and Independents? Look, I've heard enough about presidential hair to last me a lifetime. That won't save our scalps--or our Republic--come November.

May the process continue...

Here's the Etch A Sketch video:

Governor Palin: Last Frontier Women Don’t Tolerate Misogynists

Saturday, March 24, 2012

Via Facebook:

Two fellow Alaskan women, Kirsten Powers and Penny Lee, penned a letter to the New York Times calling out misogynist attacks on women in public life.

They included this interesting aside: “Coincidentally we both hail from Alaska — where women are treated as equals — so perhaps our threshold for this kind of behavior is less than here in the Lower 48.”

As an Alaskan woman, I completely agree. Women up here do not tolerate the sexist stereotyping and behavior.

Up here, I’m constantly around commercial fishermen who curse like sailors, oil field workers with hardcore blue collar work ethics, tattooed-up soldiers serving on our military bases, long-haul truck drivers, motorheads, hunters and sport fishermen; and yet I don’t know anyone who talks about women the way these misogynists on TV do with their degrading comments, which includes comments mocking those with special needs.

I grew up hunting, fishing, playing sports, plowing snow, and chopping wood just like the guys. My parents raised my sisters and me to never consider gender an unequal element in anything. (In fact, today is my Dad’s birthday, and I want to give him a shout out because as a science teacher and track coach, he treated all of his students and athletes equally with respect and encouragement.) My daughters have participated on football, hockey, and wrestling teams just like the guys. We even dress like the guys at times (or they, like us) in warm camo hoodies and Carharts. It’s accepted up here because the environment is rugged and real, and our Alaskan elements are a great equalizer.

Women and men are equals in every way in the Last Frontier, and real men are not threatened by strong women. Real men don’t insult women with gross sexist comments meant to demean and objectify them.

These misogynists wouldn’t know how real men behave. I cannot imagine them working on my commercial fishing skiff in Bristol Bay, or driving our trucks to haul gear out to a remote cabin, or fueling up the float plane, or even having a tinge of grease under their fingernails which symbolizes the hard work needed to fuel the nation’s economy. And yet these are all things average Alaskan women do everyday. If these misogynists said one of their disgusting comments up here in person to an “Alaskan chick,” they would have to replace their veneered teeth.

I personally do not seek an apology from these narrow-minded men. With a full family and productive “to-do” list everyday, I just don’t have time for them. But I do feel sorry for them and for their obvious need to compensate for something that’s missing in their own lives, which compels them to belittle others in order to feel big. And I feel sorry for our culture for having to listen to them. America deserves better. I applaud Kirsten and Penny for taking a stand when too many feminists don’t speak up when the attacks are directed at their conservative sisters. And unfortunately too many men, like our president, will only defend certain women, not all women.

Governor Palin: Where's the Party, President Obama?; Updated

In "honor" of the second anniversary of President Obama's health care disaster, Governor Palin posted the following on Facebook, stated as only she can:

Mr. President, you're conspicuously absent from the 2-year anniversary of your "greatest accomplishment" (described by your VP as "a big f***ing deal"). Where's the party? Concerned citizens around the country recognized the 2-year anniversary of Obamacare by protesting its attack on religious liberty. Oral arguments on Obamacare start next Monday, March 26, before the Supreme Court. Voting out Obama starts on Nov. 6.

UPDATE: You can read about the protests to which Governor Palin referred here.

Bristol Palin on Trig and World Down Syndrome Day

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Bristol Palin informs us that today is World Down Syndrome Day, and she posted this on her new blog:

Thank you for all the kind words this week, especially the ones about Trig. Did you know that today – March 21, 2012 – is actually World Down Syndrome Day? It’s a great day to take a moment and celebrate life. Children with Down Syndrome are beautiful, and I’m so proud of my baby brother. I wouldn’t want him any other way!

Bristol then went on to dare us to watch this without tears. I must say, it's a very challenging dare she issued. The video to which she's referring has numerous reminders of the messsage her mother, Governor Palin, has shared with us so many times about Trig and what he adds to their lives.

PPP Poll Shows Governor Palin Has Higher Favorability than GOP Candidates

Democrat pollster, Public Policy Polling (PPP), released the following about Governor Palin:

The talk of a brokered convention never seems to die down and one interesting finding on this poll was that Sarah Palin is far more popular than any of the actual Republican candidates in the race. Her net favorability is +48, with 68% of voters rating her favorably to only 20% with a negative opinion. That compares favorably to +29 for Santorum, +19 for Romney, and -26 for Paul.

Palin is someone GOP delegates might be able to unify around in the case of a hopelessly deadlocked convention. She is seen positively by Gingrich voters (85/7), Santorum supporters (80/10), and Romney ones (57/27) alike. That's a contrast to Romney who is disliked by both Santorum (38/48) and Gingrich (32/54) voters and Santorum who is disliked by Romney (38/48) voters and only seen narrowly favorably by Gingrich (46/42) backers.

When asked, Governor Palin has already answered that if this GOP race leads to an open or brokered convention, "all bets are off," that she's willing to do what she can to help. Now, only she knows exactly to what extent she's willing to go to help, but it sounds like she'll take a look at whatever open doors would be before her.

According to this poll, more Republicans would prefer her as an option over the choices we currently have--despite what has been waged against her: For a second time, thousands upon thousands of the emails she and her gubernatorial staff exchanged have been made public and scrutinized--yet she still has a higher favorability than the GOP candidates, Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, and Paul; Tom Hanks orchestrated Game Change, a hit-piece designed to tarnish her record as a rational, intelligent, accomplished individual--yet she still leads the way among candidates. Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace have sold their souls to the left to cover their own behinds and throw Governor Palin under the bus in the process--yet she is head and shoulders above each of them. This is yet another testament to the fact that no matter how much people do to try to take her down, they fall short.

Republicans love Governor Palin because she loves America, is one of We the People, and has an abundance of common sense that is so lacking in Washington today.

Full Video: Governor Palin Speaks at Extraordinary Women Christian Conference; UPDATED

Monday, March 19, 2012

Governor Palin spoke at the Extraordinary Women Christian Conference in Greenville, SC on Saturday afternoon. Passionate Faith was the theme, and she gave her own testimony of salvation and shared stories of situations she and her family have walked through that required faith. She also encouraged those in attendance to use their own faith in Jesus Christ to impact the world around them because they, too, were created for the purpose of making a difference. Governor Palin delivered a passionate word full of faith and hope to an arena of women who, without a doubt, left inspired and fired up.

Bristol Palin: Mr. President, When Should I Expect Your Call?

Bristol Palin has a lot of her mother in her, that's for sure, but she's also a feisty young woman in her own right. She penned the following piece on her new blog today in which she calls out President Obama for his hypocrisy:

Dear President Obama,

You don’t know my telephone number, but I hope your staff is busy trying to find it. Ever since you called Sandra Fluke after Rush Limbaugh called her a slut, I figured I might be next. You explained to reporters you called her because you were thinking of your two daughters, Malia and Sasha. After all, you didn’t want them to think it was okay for men to treat them that way:

“One of the things I want them to do as they get older is engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on,” you said. “I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way. And I don’t want them attacked or called horrible names because they’re being good citizens.”

And I totally agree your kids should be able to speak their minds and engage the culture. I look forward to seeing what good things Malia and Sasha end up doing with their lives.
But here’s why I’m a little surprised my phone hasn’t rung. Your $1,000,000 donor Bill Maher has said reprehensible things about my family. He’s made fun of my brother because of his Down’s Syndrome. He’s said I was “f—-d so hard a baby fell out.” (In a classy move, he did this while his producers put up the cover of my book, which tells about the forgiveness and redemption I’ve found in God after my past – very public — mistakes.)
If Maher talked about Malia and Sasha that way, you’d return his dirty money and the Secret Service would probably have to restrain you. After all, I’ve always felt you understood my plight more than most because your mom was a teenager. That’s why you stood up for me when you were campaigning against Sen. McCain and my mom — you said vicious attacks on me should be off limits.

Yet I wonder if the Presidency has changed you. Now that you’re in office, it seems you’re only willing to defend certain women. You’re only willing to take a moral stand when you know your liberal supporters will stand behind you.

But…

What if you did something radical and wildly unpopular with your base and took a stand against the denigration of all women… even if they’re just single moms? Even if they’re Republicans?
I’m not expecting your SuperPAC to return the money. You’re going to need every dime to hang on to your presidency. I’m not even really expecting a call. But would it be too much to expect a little consistency? After all, you’re President of all Americans, not just the liberals.

Governor Palin: Breitbart Is Here

Friday, March 16, 2012

Governor Palin penned the following article for Breitbart.com:

With the death of Breitbart, the conservative movement didn’t just lose a General – we lost an entire Special Forces Division. But he didn’t leave us without the tools and the knowledge we need to fight. This website – Breitbart 2.0 – is the culmination of his study of the technology and aesthetics of new media. The team Breitbart assembled under the leadership of Steve Bannon, Larry Solov, and Joel Pollak will advance his mission with courage and integrity.

Breitbart’s most immediate mission was the belated vetting of Barack Obama. This obviously is an issue very near and dear to my heart.

During the ’08 campaign, the same media that reported breathlessly about an old used tanning bed I purchased to get some sun during the dark Alaskan winter, couldn’t be bothered to investigate Barack Obama’s associations, statements or even his voting record as a state senator. Suntans and what I wore on the campaign trail were more important than Obama’s political background. Unbelievable.

But when you come to think of it, the media didn’t investigate either of our actual political records very closely.

Barack Obama and I both served in political office in states with a serious corruption problem. Though there is a big difference between serving as the CEO of a city, then a state, and regulating domestic energy resources, and being a liberal Community Organizer, bear with me on the comparison. The difference between my record and Barack Obama’s is that I fought the corrupt political machine my entire career (and I have twenty years of scars to prove it) on the local, state, and national level. But Obama didn’t fight the corruption he encountered. He went along with it to advance his career. Graft, cronyism, and quid pro quo are the methods of the Chicago political machine from which he emerged.

You would think the media – those watchdogs of the public trust – would be interested in this. But they refused to vet Barack Obama. With tingles up their legs, they shielded him.

If the media had done their job of vetting him, we wouldn’t have been shocked that within days after Obama’s election, his close political associate Rod Blagojevich was caught trying to sell Obama’s vacant Senate seat.

If the media had done their job of vetting him, we wouldn’t be astonished to see all the billion dollar green energy kickbacks going to his campaign cronies as the nation heads towards bankruptcy.

If the media had done their job of vetting him, we wouldn’t be surprised that Obama brought these same Chicago “pay-to-play” practices to the White House.

This corruption was entirely predictable. But the mainstream media, who work under our Constitutional right of freedom of the press which our sons and daughters fight in war zones today to protect, dropped the ball and failed America by refusing to vet their chosen candidate.

So, as Breitbart declared in his last CPAC speech, we – the everyday patriotic citizens of the United States – will do the vetting the media refused to do.

[...]

The task may seem daunting, but a whole new generation of conservatives has been inspired. I’ve seen it first hand. When my daughter Bristol saw the video of Breitbart’s speech at a Tea Party rally in Madison, Wisconsin, she was fired up. She turned to me and said, “Breitbart is cool!”

Yes, he is cool. And “Breitbart Is Here.”

Now let the vetting begin.

Videos: Coulter Lies on Palin & Levin Sets Her Straight

Thursday, March 15, 2012

I used to really like Ann Coulter. That was before she lost her mind. She seems to have gone off the deep end first when pursuing New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, trying to convince him to run for President. Now she's even more wacked out, joining the GOP establishment in forcing Mitt Romney down our throats.

I'm not sure what her problem with Governor Palin is, but she made another ridiculous comment about the Governor, this time stating something that Ann--as smart and informed as she is--has to know isn't true. In answer to a question about a brokered convention, she states that Governor Palin has "suggested herself" as the nominee. That is totally false. Governor Palin has never suggested herself. Coulter is just angry that Romney hasn't had enough support to wrap this thing up. She's been whining because conservatives aren't falling all over him. Ann wants the other candidates to back out so only Romney is left standing to take on President Obama; therefore, she lies on Governor Palin who has stated that she wants to see the process continue so all candidates are well-vetted.

I appreciate people like Mark Levin who, in the interest of truth, speak out repeatedly against blatant attacks and deceptions.

Via US4Palin, here's what Ann said:

Thanks to SarahNET, here's patriot Mark Levin, who called out Ann Coulter for her deceptive, delusional comment:

Governor Palin: Mark Levin’s “Ameritopia” Explains How We Got In the Mess We’re In

Governor Palin, via Facebook:

Please click here to listen to Mark Levin’s excellent comments at the Reagan Library last week about his great new book “Ameritopia.” His wisdom is needed now more than ever.

Consider, for example, the news today about the Congressional Budget Office’s report on Obamacare. Remember when President Obama promised us that under Obamacare if you like your current health care coverage you can keep it? Well, that turns out to be another “you lie” moment. According to the CBO’s new report, as many as 20 million Americans could lose their employer-provided health insurance because of Obamacare.

Couple this latest revelation with the news that Obamacare’s estimated ten year cost is now double the original projection and the fact that Obamacare puts an unelected panel of faceless bureaucrats in charge of cutting Medicare spending to keep costs down (i.e. making life and death rationing decisions about your coverage – decisions which will make it more likely that doctors and hospitals will simply decide not to provide certain procedures because Medicare won’t cover them or will pay too little for them).

Taken all together, you will see that everything we told you about this “mother of all unfunded mandates” is true. If we let Obamacare stand, it will ultimately bankrupt us and rob us of our liberty in a hundred different ways. Repealing Obamacare must be a central theme of the coming election just as it was during the 2010 midterms.

But step back for a moment and ask yourself how our great republic got to this situation where Obamacare was even proposed. Ask how our brave troops fighting so far from home could find themselves in a war that seems so unfocused and without end. How did we get so far removed from our foundational belief in limited Constitutional governance and the great maxim of “Peace Through Strength”? Listen to Mark Levin and read his “Ameritopia” to open your eyes about the roots of the problems we face today.

Political March Madness

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Those of us who love and follow the game of basketball have a special appreciation for this time of year. March Madness, baby! But the NCAA tournament hasn't even started, and madness is already running rampant--in the political world, that is. All around the country, March will work its magic, uniting teams and clarifying goals, bringing out the best in players and igniting fans. Meanwhile, the current political madness is working a whole different kind of magic.

March began with the sad news of the death of conservative warrior Andrew Breitbart who unexpectedly departed this life on the first day of the month. He was just about to share with the world some videos that further reveal President Obama's penchant for choosing some rather--shall we say?--questionable characters to run around with. Breitbart was just about to relaunch his website. In the blink of an eye, he was gone. That was the start of the unforeseen madness, a loss many are still struggling to wrap their brains around. He left behind a wife, four children, and an inspired army of patriots who are determined to take up the mantle. His work continues.

Then, just a couple days into March, the Sandra Fluke controversy grew wings and liberals grew outraged--selectively, of course--at comments Rush Limbaugh made concerning the law student's baffling desire to have others pay for her desires. Rush subsequently apologized, but of course that wasn't enough for liberals. As usual, they wanted to use the situation for political gain. Even the President got involved, invoking his daughters. Never mind the fact that people on his side of the aisle have said things so vile that his daughters wouldn't be able to attend a movie that includes language liberals use to describe conservatives. The hypocrisy of the left is maddening, and we've come to expect it. However, we should be able to expect more from the President of the United States. The fact that we do not have a President who will preside fairly over all people, but only over those who fall into his ideological bubble, speaks volumes about the insanity of the time in which we live, a time when partisanship trumps all, when politicians' mouths move in two different directions, or not at all--as in times that they choose to remain silent when they actually ought to speak.

For example, what we get from members of Congress is a refusal to condemn misogynist Bill Maher who repeatedly demeans Governor Palin, the man who has said things that even I'm not, as they say, a mature enough audience to listen to, and may I never be so mature. What we get from our President, too, is a refusal to answer a question a journalist poses about a million dollar donation Maher made to his campaign. The President--the concerned father that he is--has no problem accepting what Governor Palin has called "dirty money." And with all his talk about civility, he still has yet to call out the numerous vulgar, sexist comments made about Governor Palin and other conservative women. What does he do instead? He calls Sandra Fluke to demonstrate his support for her. Really?

Madness is definitely running rampant when the President's campaign puts out a video attacking Governor Palin, twisting her words to make her appear to be a dangerous racist. Their methods bring me back to a time in the not too distant past when Katie Couric and her team spliced and diced tape to create a false image of Governor Palin. But Couric has nothing on Obama's people; they're actually using their dishonest video as a fundraiser to make more dirty money. I call it such because it's being collected on a knowingly false premise. We could spend all day on the ridiculosity of a President targeting a private citizen--an irrelevant one at that, so he would have us believe. This irrelevant woman somehow manages to provoke the most powerful man in the free world to hold brainstorming sessions to figure out how to handle her influence. And for those who say it's Obama for America, not the President himself, who is responsible for this, let's be real. Does anyone really think he doesn't have his hands all up and through what gets circulated in the name of his re-election?

Let's not forget that in the spirit of intense competition affiliated with the madness of March, HBO strategically planned the release date of Game Change, which they hoped would be a game changer itself. They expected Governor Palin to be knee-deep in a presidential campaign now, and they had just the thing to cut her down--a movie composed of a plethora of both flagrant fouls and bad calls by officials on the take. They clearly hadn't imagined that she was being genuine when she repeatedly said she didn't need a title to make a difference. Now it's the fourth quarter in this game of politics President Obama and his surrogates have been playing, and they know the clock is winding down. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I suppose. However, their attempts to send Governor Palin limping to the bench, never to re-emerge, have fallen flat and will continue to fall flat. If they haven't figured that out yet, I recommend they take note of her high school championship basketball game in March of 1982 when, injured, the Wasilla Warrior nailed the shot that secured the state championship for her team. It's 2012, but she's still a warrior, and this is March after all.

HBO's sensationalism might appeal to those hungry for more of the same lame anti-Palin propaganda, but everyone with a modicum of common sense knows that the same person who turned her hometown into the fastest growing business city in Alaska, defeated a big-name incumbent in her run for governor of the largest state, possessed an approval rating of nearly 90 percent, exposed corruption, negotiated the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history, became the first woman on the Republican ticket, energized the Party, and carried Senator McCain farther than he could have possibly gone without her, all while raising a wide-ranging family, could not possibly be the same individual Julianne Moore portrays. Furthermore, why would anyone believe sources who are too afraid to reveal their identities when sources close to the Governor, people with real names and identifiable faces, have shot the movie down?

As smart as liberals purport to be, enveloped in their ivy league world of academia, they sure can't put two and two together, and they certainly don't think the rest of us can. I'm just one of those bitter clingers, so excuse me as I steal a line from Scripture to address them: "Much learning doth make thee mad."

March has always brought basketball enthusiasts a yearning for more and more madness. We make predictions, fill out brackets, and enjoy the ride. We experience the proverbial thrill of victory and the agony of defeat--and we love every minute of it. The political madness this March has been a horse of different color, however. And lest I be blamed for that old-fashioned Republican "racism" (Yes, even black conservatives get accused of being racist against the President), let me help ease liberals' race-card-playing minds: I'm speaking metaphorically, okay? It's that season, and folks have lost their minds, sure enough. It leaves rational people pondering what April might bring. Considering what liberals have done with the concept of March Madness, there's no telling what they might attempt with April Fools' Day.

Governor Palin: Let’s Talk About the Real Issues, Mr. President

Governor Palin, via Facebook:

The far Left continues to believe American voters are not smart enough to grasp the diversionary tactics it employs to distract us from the issues our President just doesn’t want to talk about – issues that affect us all every day and must be addressed.

Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you don’t need a title to make a difference?)

Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurtling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a “death panel”), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour that’s made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA, an attack on the Constitutional protection of religious liberty, an attack on private industry in right-to-work states, crony capitalism run amok in an administration in bed with their favored cronies to the detriment of genuine free market capitalism, green energy pay-to-play kickbacks to Obama campaign donors, and a Justice Department still stonewalling on a bungled operation that armed violent Mexican drug lords and led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.

I’m sure I missed a few things, but the list is just for starters. Along with millions of others, I’m willing and free to discuss these issues with the President anywhere, anytime; and I’m sure any of the four patriots currently running for the GOP nomination would also welcome the opportunity to talk about the problems everyday Americans face due to the abject failure of our current administration’s policies. The President will dismiss all of these problems by saying, “Well, uh, ‘change isn’t easy.’” But considering that candidate Obama promised to turn back the waters and heal the planet, the American people had at least a reasonable expectation that, at the bare minimum, he wouldn’t bankrupt our country.

This latest ad is quite odd, but also quite telling. It shows that our President sure seems fearful of discussing the economy, energy prices, and all the other problems people need addressed. And intended or not, now that his ad opens up the discussion of Barack Obama’s radical past associations and the radical philosophy that shaped his ideas about his promised “fundamental transformation” of our country, I welcome the media to join ordinary Americans in finally vetting Barack Obama. The media failed to do so in 2008 to the detriment of us all. Maybe this time around they can do their job.

They might start by noting the President’s heavily edited attack ad. Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro helps them out in this piece. Please read it all.

Sen. McCain Responds to Summons & Takes Stand for Gov. Palin

Sunday, March 11, 2012

In solidarity with Governor Palin's supporters and others who simply care about truth, I again watched The Undefeated tonight as it premiered on REELZChannel. At the end of the documentary, the late Andrew Breitbart says several times, "I see eunuchs." He was referring to men in the GOP who sit idly by--saying nothing, doing nothing, and obviously feeling nothing--while Governor Palin is relentlessly attacked, time and time again, in the most degrading ways. Yes, he called them eunuchs.

Recently, I wrote an article called "Summoning Senator McCain" in which I called on the 2008 Republican presidential nominee to take a stand and speak out against HBO's Game Change. The Senator had already said he wouldn't watch it, and he's said in the past that he thinks highly of Governor Palin, but I wanted more from him, particularly about this hit piece. Today, Senator McCain appeared on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Having voiced my disappointment that he has not said enough, I feel it's only right that I acknowledge his taking a stronger stand today than I have previously witnessed.

When asked if he watched Game Change on HBO last night, the Senator said he did not because it was "based on a book that is completely biased and with unattributed quotes." He went on to say that even in the rough and tumble world of politics, he doesn't understand "why there continues to be such assaults on a good and decent person," speaking of Governor Palin. Concerning the campaign, he stated what we could all easily see: Governor Palin was "a person whose nomination energized our campaign."

Without hesitation, Senator McCain said that the part of the movie that shows him telling Steve Schmidt to "find me a woman" to be an election game changer was a lie. "Of course not," he responded when asked if he ever said that. However, he followed that up by attesting to the qualifications and accomplishments of his former running mate, which contradicts the false narrative the movie promotes--that the Governor is unintelligent and incompetent.

Senator McCain states:

I thought that she was the best qualified person.
She was a very effective and successful governor.

In other words, the Senator wanted Governor Palin to share the ticket with him because she was the best person for the job.

Too many have done nothing while an accomplished and politically savvy individual has been used as a punching bag--and I'm not even talking about those on the left. The right has also been complicit. Their despicable display of cowardice earned them the title of eunuchs, according to Andrew Breitbart, and they have to look themselves in the mirror for their refusal to defend someone who so readily defends our country.

As for Senator McCain, regardless of whether we agree or disagree with his policies or with how he's handled things thus far, I do respect that he did the right thing today by defending Governor Palin's honor and achievements, acknowledging that Game Change is biased and untrue, and knocking down his former staff members who have chosen to spew lies rather than assume responsibility for their own shortcomings.

The conversation about Game Change begins at 9:13 of the video.

Aide Jason Recher on 'Game Change' Palin Portrayal: I Would've Quit

Saturday, March 10, 2012

Jason Recher, one of Governor Palin's closest aides, again went on the record to denounce Game Change as a bunch of lies. This time he did so in an interview with Sarah Palin Radio after he watched the hit piece, despite HBO's best efforts to deny him and other Palin aides the "opportunity." Jason traveled extensively with Governor Palin during the 2008 campaign, was constantly by her side, and probably knows what went on every minute of every day. He is still often by her side as she travels and speaks across the country.

Jason acknowledges that HBO got two things right in their portrayal of what transpired during the 2008 campaign, but I'm sure they're not two things people looking to feed their PDS are hoping for: Indeed, there was an election in 2008, and Governor Palin was on the ballot. How's that for two facts? The rest, Jason points out, is based on a "false narrative." In fact, he said if the Palin that Julianne Moore portrays were the real Palin, he'd have quit after just an hour! Yet some are trying to sell us on the notion that the film gives a fair and accurate account of Governor Palin.

I have always applauded Jason's character and the assistance he provides the Governor. He has repeatedly refused to remain silent while others have lied about her, besmirched her name, and attacked her integrity. In this interview with LaDonna Hale Curzon, he articulately shares with us the real deal--about Game Change, about why people are still consumed with taking Governor Palin down, and about who she truly is.

Stacy Drake: Top 10 Lies of HBO's 'Game Change'

Stacy Drake wrote an article for Big Hollywood in which she, with great specificity, pointed out "The Top 10 Lies of HBO's 'Game Change.'" People of integrity are not sitting idly by while people with an agenda besmirch someone's name and reputation. Leftist Tom Hanks has offered the American people a load of crap served up as fact. Stacy, as others have, is exposing the lies and revealing the truth. I have excerpted her take-down, but please read the full article here:

Defenders of HBO’s “Game Change” have fought back against those who criticize the politically charged film as a two-hour attack on Sarah Palin. They claim that unless a person has watched it in its entirety, they cannot judge its content or the people involved with the project.

Well, I’ve seen the entire movie, so don’t mind me while I go ahead and judge this piece of high-dollar propaganda.

“Game Change” is pretty easy to deconstruct. At its core, it’s a left-wing project designed to make one of their most hated political enemies toxic. They used people with an axe to grind to legitimize the story they want viewers to believe and help push their agenda. They also have no problem lying.

Honestly, it was difficult to narrow down this list because there were so many fabrications and distortions throughout the film, but here are the top ten lies produced by HBO.

Lie #10: HBO released a defensive statement to the press along with screeners of the film saying the project "is a balanced portrayal of the McCain/Palin campaign." Having seen the movie in its entirety, I can say that that statement is beyond absurd. There was nothing "balanced" about the story they told. As someone who has studied Palin's career for years, I can say that I didn't even recognize the person sold as "Governor Palin," here played by Julianne Moore.

Beyond the grotesque character assassination, there is a heavy partisan imbalance at work. "Game Change" portrays most Republicans in a bad light -- everyone minus Steve Schmidt (Woody Harrelson), Nicolle Wallace (Sarah Paulson), Mark Wallace (Ron Livingston), and Chris Edwards (Larry Sullivan). One character refers to former Vice President Dick Cheney as "Darth Vader," while the McCain/Palin rallies depict unhinged men yelling "terrorist" and "he's a Muslim" at the mention of Obama's name. Then, there was the the quote they placed toward the end of the movie which had Sen. John McCain (Ed Harris) warning Palin not to get "co-opted by Limbaugh and the other extremists." None of these instances were balanced and were clearly told from a left-wing point of view.

Lie #9: Virtually every characteristic attributed to Palin in "Game Change" is false. They portray her as egotistical, ungracious, demanding, stupid, forgetful and, cruelest of all, mentally unstable. They do show her as a loving mother, even though they have her go into "catatonic stupors" when separated from her children. Even when they're trying to be nice they're mean. I don't know Palin personally, but I know people who do. I have never heard any stories that fit the descriptions listed above; in fact, I've heard just the opposite.

"Game Change" also depicts Palin as highly forgetful. Around the 70 minute mark, Mark Wallace tells Steve Schmidt that Palin couldn't remember "any" of the information he used to prep her for the debate. As it turns out, another Democrat didn't get the memo. In 2008, former editor in chief of Ms. magazine, Elaine Lafferty wrote:
I'd heard rumors around the campaign of her photographic memory and, frankly, I watched it in action. She sees. She processes. She questions, and only then, she acts.

Lafferty also said Palin was "smart" and "more than a quick study." She, however, was not interviewed by "Game Change" screenwriter Danny Strong for the film.

Lie #8: "Game Change" depicts Palin as unwilling to go on stage with Jeb Bradley because he is pro-choice. At the 92 minute mark of the film, Palin tells a staffer:
There's no way I'm going on stage with anyone who's pro-choice.

When HBO sends out statements telling people that they "ensure" the "historical accuracy" of the research they conduct, they're lying. If this woman refused to go on stage with anyone because they're pro-choice, why did she attend rallies with Joe Lieberman in Pennsylvania and Florida during the campaign? Why did she also allow the L.A. President of NOW to introduce her at yet another rally during the campaign in question? Palin doesn't ostracize people for having a different opinion than she does. Frankly, that's more in line with behavior I have come to expect from the left.

Lie #6: At the beginning of the film, McCain's staff is depicted as searching for a Vice Presidential candidate. The movie clearly tried to suggest that McCain's team picked Palin because she was a woman. To back up this assertion, around the 10 minute mark in the film, McCain is seen saying, "so find me a woman." The real Schmidt admits this never happened. The Chicago Tribune reports Schmidt said he never heard McCain speak those words. "It was a minor point of dramatization to make a point," Schmidt said. Actually, the entire movie was a major point of dramatization to make a point--a point only an Obama SuperPAC would love.

Lie #3: A constant theme pushed throughout "Game Change" is the notion that the McCain campaign didn't vet Palin. If you pay any attention to left-wing bloggers in Alaska, you know that this has been a talking point for years. The movie tries to pin the blame of this alleged non-vetting on the man who was responsible for the process, Arthur “A.B.” Culvahouse. The film also suggests Culvahouse didn't ask Palin any policy questions during his interview. This is provably false. The Chicago Tribune interviewed Culvahouse in 2009. He directly contradicts the way the movie portrayed the vetting process and how Governor Palin was selected:

There were three rules,'' Culvahouse said of himself and McCain. "He was the decider. There was no one between him and me.... There was no one who was going to say, 'This one is on the list, this one is off the list'... Third... he could not pick anyone that I had not vetted.'

Culvahouse, a former counsel to then-Sen. Howard Baker in the 1970s, had delivered Baker's paperwork when he was being considered for Gerald Ford's vice president - there were 19 questions asked.

"The questionnaire I sent out for John McCain had 74.''

They asked her if she is prepared to use nuclear weapons in the defense of the American homeland, he said, and they asked her if, say Osama bin Laden should be spotted, but taking him out would result in many other casualties, would she take the shot?

"She knocked those three questions out of the park,'' he said.

Those were obviously policy questions, and Palin was obviously vetted.

Lie #1: At the 106 minute mark of the film, Schmidt is talking to McCain after the election loss. He appears as though he wants to apologize to McCain but instead apologizes for "suggesting her." The movie attempts to drive the message home that the primary reason McCain lost was because Palin was on the ticket. That simply isn't the case.

After the selection of Palin for the VP slot, McCain took the lead in national polls. It wasn't until the economic collapse that the trend started to move the other way. The trend stayed in Obama's favor due to the manner in which the McCain campaign handled that crisis. The decisions the campaign made did not inspire confidence in the American people, and they were not decisions made by Palin.

Enough of allowing the liars to win. Read the full piece here, and pass it on to other lovers of truth.
