Palin v. President: March for Life 2014

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Today was the annual March for Life. I have such great respect for those who take a stand for the right to life and dignity, which every innocent human being has. I am appreciative of those who understand that the unborn, too, have that right.

As cold as it is today, and as cold-hearted as the indifferent mainstream media are, pro-lifers showed up to show their support for such a worthwhile cause.

Governor Palin--always one to speak up for the most vulnerable among us--posted the following on Facebook:
Today was the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. The fact that hundreds of thousands of peaceful activists turn up every year in the coldest month in D.C. – despite snowstorms and media indifference – is a testament to their commitment to building a culture of life.

As Pope John Paul II taught us: “To be actively pro-life is to contribute to the renewal of society through the promotion of the common good. It is impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are founded and from which they develop.”

I am personally so appreciative of the Right to Life activists who planted that pro-life seed in me as a young girl observing their dedicated efforts to protect innocent life. To them, Trig and our entire family say, “thank you.”

Bristol thanks you, too. Here are our boys.

This is the picture Governor Palin posted:

On the flip side, President Obama once again displayed his utter disregard for the sanctity of life by issuing the following statement, as highlighted on Breitbart News Network:
We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a woman’s access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom. And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children. Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams.

So..."everyone" deserves opportunities--but not the child whose life gets snuffed out. And we want wholesome communities for "all" children--except the ones we kill before they get to reside in one. How does anyone take this president seriously?

Despite President Obama's blatant hypocrisy, the pro-life movement is energized and expectant that gains will be made this year. Encouragement abounds, as Breitbart News covered.

Thank you, Adrienne. Well said.

Would that we could hear the words of Doctor King himself, and hear for ourselves the pronouncements he would undoubtedly have on the scourge that is abortion.

Shame, shame, shame.
