Remembering 9-11-01: 'Whom Shall I Fear?'

Thursday, September 11, 2014

We will never forget those who paid the price for radicals' hatred of America. Almost 3,000 lives were lost on September 11, 2001--innocents whose families still mourn their senseless slaughter.

As we continue to face danger, at home and abroad, let us do so remembering those who continue to fight for our safety, as well as those who have died in the process.

Today--and tomorrow--we pray that God will give us the grace to walk through these difficult times trusting in Him and possessing a boldness and courage--wrapped in humility--that will not be shattered by those who seek to terrorize and destroy us. As the apostle Paul said, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). With this as our true foundation, we have perfect peace. Psalm 27:1 states, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

God bless America!
