Palins Highlight Media Hypocrisy in Addressing Abuse against Women

Sunday, October 26, 2014

I hope each of you will take the time to watch these two videos Gov. Palin highlighted, linking to Bristol Palin's blog. Like her, this makes me sick to my stomach--and if it doesn't bother you, while you pretend to be for women and against violence on women, you are as hypocritical as this so-called member of the media. When it's Rihanna, it's horrible, when it's Ray Rice's fiancé, it's devastating, and when it's you, it's unforgivable. But when it's Bristol Palin, it's funny??? I hate to break it to you, but the rules don't change just because a Palin is involved. Sickening! I'm glad this woman apologized, but CNN should suspend her.

Compare these two video:

Here's the first:

Now, look at this one:

I thought nothing could surprise me anymore with how the Palins are treated by the media and so-called celebrities, but I have to say this really grabbed and disgusted me in a way I thought was no longer possible. Hypocrisy is so unattractive.

Do Not Lose Hope

Monday, October 6, 2014

From my Motivation Moment Monday post at Adrienne Ross Communications:

This week’s Motivation Moment Monday is rather simple: No matter what you are going through, there is hope. No matter what else you lose, if you hold on to hope, there’s a comeback awaiting. Do not lose hope!

Despair comes when hope is lost. In extreme cases, suicide follows. The fact is, however, that things change. Circumstances get better. Often, situations that seem so devastating today reveal themselves to be temporary. Are they painful? Yes. Do they take their toll? They do. But do they pass? If we hold on, absolutely. Faith says they will. In the midst of it, talk to someone, get professional help, cry—but don’t give up.

Last week, someone I know lost hope and took her own life. The very thought of that is too large for my mind to grasp.

Fight against despair and a loss of hope. Hold on. Please hold on.
